Madinat Jumeirah is a world-renowned 5-star resort in Dubai, designed to resemble a traditional Arabian town. Spanning over 40 hectares of landscaped gardens and waterways, it is the largest resort in the emirate and a showcase of cultural heritage fused with modern luxury, offering an immersive experience for international tourists.

The opportunity

Zutari was tasked with delivering high-quality, efficient, and maintainable infrastructure services for this expansive development. The goal was to support a resort that not only meets world-class hospitality standards but also reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region.

What we did

Zutari brought the vision of a modern Arabian town to life by weaving complex infrastructure into the resort’s traditional design. Every element was engineered to balance heritage with innovation.

We provided comprehensive infrastructure services, including:

  • Planning, design, and construction supervision of building wet services

  • Passive and active fire protection systems

  • Civil infrastructure and structural design

  • Gas storage and reticulation

  • Roadworks, water canals, bridges, and marine works


One of the greatest challenges, the circulation of water through the canals, was solved with durable marine concrete and protective systems. These ensured the waterways could withstand the Gulf’s harsh climate while maintaining their beauty for generations to come.

The outcome

The water circulation system through the canals was a key challenge. Zutari specified durable marine concrete for bridges and structural elements and applied protective membranes and polyurethane coatings to shield canal walls from salt and chemical exposure. The result is a resilient infrastructure that supports the resort’s aesthetic and functional goals.

This development seamlessly connects to the existing Jumeirah Beach complex, forming a unified, multi-facility resort precinct that enhances Dubai’s global tourism appeal.

By linking seamlessly to the Jumeirah Beach property, Madinat Jumeirah forms one of Dubai’s most extensive multi-facility resort precincts, a testament to how thoughtful infrastructure design can elevate cultural legacy into world-class destinations.
