Zutari’s consultancy services included:
- Design verification of bored tunnels
- Geotechnical, structural and architectural reviews
- Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design verification
- Fire and life safety assessments
Special attention was given to geotechnical aspects, as all concrete elements had to meet strict durability standards due to Doha’s high salt levels in air and water. Materials were carefully assessed to mitigate long-term deterioration.
Coordination was critical. With numerous contractors, consultants and project managers working simultaneously, regular workshops were held to align designs with Qatar Rail’s evolving requirements and maintain professional integrity throughout the development.
