Zutari has a rich history in Botswana, dating back to 1991, when our Gaborone office was established. We have been instrumental in shaping Botswana’s infrastructure landscape. Over the years, we have built a strong team of highly skilled professionals and technicians dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the community.

Our staff, both on-site and in the office, has been involved in various significant projects across the nation. These include comprehensive feasibility studies, the construction and upgrading of critical infrastructure like roads and bridges, and essential services in water treatment and power generation.

Notably, we have collaborated with esteemed organisations such as the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Botswana Power Corporation, and the Debswana Diamond Company. Our commitment to quality and sustainable practices has allowed us to make substantial contributions to the country’s engineering landscape.

We designed the modern student centre at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), enhancing the educational environment. Another key initiative was the sanitation project in Kanye and Kasane villages, executed in collaboration with the Department of Waste Management. This project aimed to improve the country’s sanitation systems through strategic designs. Zutari also led the Kgalagadi village water supply rehabilitation program, providing clean water access to around 3,000 residents in the district.  Additionally, the feasibility study for Selebi Phikwe Airport aims to stimulate economic activity in the region, addressing challenges from declining copper prices while promoting tourism.

Most recently, in September 2024, Zutari and the Government of Botswana celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of the Mogoditshane-Gabane-Mmankgodi Road Project, which aims to deliver safer roads for the Kweneng District. These efforts richly demonstrated our commitment to enhancing infrastructure and supporting sustainable development in Botswana.

As we prepare for Engineering Week 2025, we look forward to engaging all stakeholders in discussions that drive innovation and sustainability in engineering. We are particularly proud to see Dr. Stephan Jooste represent Zutari at the ERB 5th Annual Engineering Forum 2025, where he will speak on “Designing with Purpose: Human-Centered Approaches for Sustainable Engineering in Botswana.”

Stay tuned for more updates as we celebrate engineering excellence and contribute to shaping a sustainable future for Botswana!
